Applications showcase data about Tennessee veterans

Patriot Paths is a wonderful visualization of the lives of Revolutionary War soldiers using data obtained from pension records. The interactive maps show where individual Patriots resided at enlistment, as well as other places they lived both before and after the war.  The map was  launched in July by TSLA.

The State Data Center analyzed Census Bureau data highlighting the era in which each of the state’s 441,000 veterans served. The interactive, county-by-county maps show that in most cases Vietnam era veterans are the most prevalent, but there are a few interesting exceptions.
