2020 PL 94-171 Redistricting Data Summary File

We extracted the most popular fields from the 2020 Census Redistricting Files for Tennessee that were published on August 12, 2021. They are available to download, freely use and redistribute.

The Public Law 94-171 Redistricting Data Summary files is the first 2020 Census sub-state data product to be released. It details population totals, key race/ethnicity counts, voting age population, housing units and people living in group quarters at a number of different geographic levels.

The original files include nearly 400 fields of information. We’ve culled that list of columns down to 33 fields that serve the needs of most data users. Users who require additional iterations of race combinations can learn more about the steps to process the PL data on our website.
